Alfie Boe may have performed in some of the world's great classical venues, but he also has the rare ability to bring together all sorts of music lovers. Not many artists can lay claim to having appeared in Les Miserables, La Boheme and a spectacular orchestral version of the classic rock album Quadrophenia. He is a singer who transcends categories, often to the bemusement of critics whoprefer to keep him in a pigeonhole. “When I look at the crowd at my concerts,”he says, “I can see I've got Who fans, classical fans, musical theatre fans and jazz fans as well.”

The vocalist is an original pop star with the look of a Hollywood icon of yesteryear and a voice that oozes warmth and vitality. Her live performance is not to be missed – as The Daily Telegraph noted “Caro Emerald had everyone in the palm of her hand’’ and her “infectious sense of fun and vintage charm can be relied on to lift the spirits”. In 2018 Caro performed at Cheltenham Jazz Festival in May, at Quincy Jones’ 85th birthday concert at the O2 in June and Cornbury Festival in July. In October Caro and her band the Grandmono Orchestra, toured for five weeks straight through the UK with a brand new tour, which included their 100th show in the UK, which was celebrated in Jazz Café in London.
